OATMEAL BREAD

INGREDIENTS: DIRECTIONS:
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 cups whole wheat bread flour
  • 2 cups Golden Instant Oats
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 2 ½ tsps iodized salt
  • 1-2 cups whole wheat bread flour (enough so it doesn’t stick to board while you’re kneading)
  • Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water
  • Mix whole wheat-bread flour and Golden Instant Oats. Make a well. Pour yeast solutions and oil in the well. Let stand for a while
  • Mix slowly. Turn dough unto lightly floured board, knead until smooth and elastic
  • Place in greased loaf pan. Let rise in a warm place until double for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes.
