Area Sales Manager


Job Summary:


The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for ensuring the growth and profitability of GNFC through the effective management of the sales and distribution functions in his assigned area.  Manages, coordinates and relates with the Distributor in all aspects of the marketing and distribution functions in his area. In partnership with the Distributor, he is expected to generate the required sales volume and achieve set targets.

As an area manager, he is mandated to ensure the following responsibilities in his assigned area:

  • Sales Operations
  • Sales Administration
  • Marketing Operations
  • Brand Management
  • Budget Management
  • Involvement in recruitment and selection of marketing and sales staff
  • Corporate Affairs, both internally and externally


Job Objectives:


  1. To show sound management skills to our distributors and trade partners on a day-to-day basis based on company guidelines.
  2. Must promote good corporate citizenship as an officer of the company.
  3. To increase the Return to Brand Equity (RTBE) on a short and long term basis
  4. To achieve planned and agreed STD, STT & OFF TAKE.
  5. Must be able to manage assigned budget given by the division and group heads, in coordination with accounting to achieve the required cost to sales figures per area
  6. Effective and efficient use of allocated budget (through Trade Marketing Proposal & approved LOA to disburse) to grow assigned area as a business unit, based on desired and appropriate growth initiatives

  • Must have strong leadership traits, highly motivated and aggressive in career development
  • Must have very good oral and written communication skills
  • With strong salesmanship and negotiation Background
  • Marketing Sales Management, or Business course graduate
  • At least 2-5 years experience in managing sales team
  • Knowledgeable on consumer trends and effective promotions in both Modern and Traditional Trade
  • Good and strong relationships with Modern Trade Accounts (SM, Robinson, Puregold and Mercury)
  • Willing to be assigned in areas for Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao
  • Urgent assignments are for Cebu, Central Luzon, Iloilo and Bacolod
